Using that modified executable you should be able to play larger and thus more memory consuming battles. Ignore the thing with the temp folder, what you want to fix is the crash itself. The same happens mid game at 6 AI's and it crashes then too. It crashes and says to make sure there's more space in the TEMP folder.
